Description: The Almudévar dams are two loose material dams that close the trough to store 169 cubic hectometres. Between the two they add up to almost 6.5 km and are made up of the east breakwater, which is 3.9 kilometers long and 25 meters high, and the west breakwater, which is 2.5 kilometers long but higher, 45 meters. Both dams have technology that allows the detection and location of a leak, facilitating maintenance tasks, as well as the safety of the structure.
