The UTS-HP1000 equipment is an active equipment for distributed or linear temperature measurement (A-DTS) used in water containment systems (dams, ponds, dikes, storage) for the detection of water leaks. The solution It is based on the combination of the use of linear temperature equipment and the generation of heat pulses in the optical fiber that facilitates the detection of filtration. Thanks to the use of hybrid cables made up of fiber optics and an electrical conductor, the monitoring system determines the existence of water leaks with just one reading of the cable and without the need to consult measurement history as in other technologies.

Unlike passive linear temperature measurement technologies, the solution manufactured by UPTECH SENSING automates the detection and location of leaks without the need for an operator to analyze the data.

In addition, the system includes a control unit (CU1000) running the company's UTS nerVision software for easy implementation of the solution in the field. The control unit connects to any communications infrastructure facilitating the integration of the solution in any type of control center or SCADA.
