Successful Completion of Our Submarine Power Cable Monitoring Project
After months of hard work, we are pleased to announce the completion of a key project for the real-time monitoring of a submarine power cable. This milestone represents a significant step forward in the management and reliability of critical infrastructure for power transmission.
Why is this important?
Submarine power cables are the backbone of electrical interconnection between regions and countries, ensuring the flow of renewable energy and grid stability. Thanks to this monitoring system, we have achieved:
Continuous supervision of cable health.
Thermal anomaly detection.
Monitoring of the cable’s depth of burial (SDoB).
Early detection of intrusions to prevent damage.
Monitoring of the terrestrial route before entering the sea, including intrusion detection in splice chambers and identification of construction machinery nearby.
Monitoring of the submarine route to detect threats caused by fishing activities, trawling nets, anchor impacts, etc.
